FARVIEW

2015- 2016

Photographs:  Marissa Racht Ryan

We are our past.

We accumulate memories.

Some of us fear the dark.

Some of us hate being alone.

All of these aspects of our existence lay dormant in us, ready to be triggered at any moment. Often we don’t even realize why something seems familiar or gives us a certain feeling.

While using my visual language to communicate, I am trying to find a balance on the fine line between fear and empathy that define us as human beings, and the methods we use to conceal them or protect ourselves against them.
